It is there we meet the bizarre and awkward Bennett, aka Summer Glau, who is the Topher of the DC Dollhouse. She has a dead arm and a hatred for Caroline, so now that she has Echo in her hands, she plans to make her suffer. ... They dont stop Perrin in time because he kills his wife, but Echo runs and is free. Perrin shows up and turns the tables on what everyone expected. He says that the Dollhouse does not exist and people were making a conspiracy against Rossum. ...
Once Galena is free, it becomes clear that getting her out of jail was just an exercise, but doing it at the Dollhouse will be much harder. Thats when Langdon shows up to bring her back home. And Adele betrays Topher by delivering his plans to Harding. She understands now that its in her best interests to play nice with Rossum. It also gets her the Dollhouse back. She also bitchslaps Topher (both figuratively and literally) back into shape. As Ballard and Langdon bring ...
And in the end, after successfully springing said hotchick free, she and Ballard returned to the Dollhouse. The story they gave Adelle was that Ballard found Echo living like an animal and barely getting by. Only he and Boyd (and Echo) know that Echo is ... Then again, his reaction to Adelle trading in the plans for her house (and the resulting facepunch he received) seems to have reminded Topher of where he stands at the house. I doubt hell be confiding in Adelle any ...
I assumed Harding was monitoring Tophers lab and stole the plans, but nope, it was Adelle in a bid to get back in the game. She just doesnt quite realize the monster shes created (or maybe she does, and doesnt care) whereas Topher, no longer the greatamoral ... If Echo manages to get free of the Dollhouse, she deserves a treat at the end, and that treat is Ballard. The episode ended with Adelle giving a stonecold killer smile. What the heck was she smiling about ...
